Visual artist · Eindhoven, the Netherlands

I am Anahita Ansaripour, a visual artist based in Eindhoven. I have been developing my artistic practice since 2016. Working with acrylic paint, I explore how colour, form and texture can come together to evoke a feeling, a memory or an imagined world.

My work moves between abstract painting and geometric portraiture. Connecting these two directions is my fascination with the interplay between freedom and structure: the energy of flowing colours and the clarity of carefully constructed forms.

My work

Room for
interpretation.

In my abstract paintings, streams of colour, organic patterns and distinctive textures come together. Some works evoke water, fire, landscapes or cosmic phenomena. Others emerge from a mood, a rhythm, or the interplay of light and dark. Alongside these fluid compositions, I create works in which geometric planes, lines and colour contrasts define the space.

I believe a painting should leave room for the viewer. A title can suggest a direction without fixing its meaning. What one person sees as a landscape may be a movement, an emotion or a memory to someone else.

Geometric portraits

Human expression.
Geometric order.

In my new collection of geometric portraits, I explore how a recognisable face can be reconstructed from polygonal planes of colour. Face, hair and clothing form one cohesive composition, bringing human expression and geometric order together.

Drawing beyond
the page.

In 2016, I contributed to the design and creation of large sculptures using a 3D pen. Drawing lines in space brought technology and the making of spatial forms directly together.

These photographs offer a small glimpse of those early experiments with line, colour and structure.

Beyond the studio

A different kind
of collaboration.

Alongside my artistic practice, I work as an Agile Master at Sligro Food Group. With an educational background in software engineering, I support teams in collaborating and improving the way they work.

Art and technology both have a place in my life. In each, I find room to explore, experiment and develop something new.
